Tonino is an accomplished professional with a career spanning over two decades, specializing in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and DevOps management. Tonino is skilled at standardizing technologies globally, building productive relationships to achieve stakeholder engagement, and effectively translating requirements into actionable projects.

As the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at River Island Clothing Co. Ltd, Tonino transformed the company’s technological capabilities, resulting in significant cost savings through agile DevOps, network overhaul, and data center migration to AWS. Tonino built and implemented an LLM for internal use and improved security posture. Prior to this, Tonino was the Head of Infrastructure and DevOps at Dunelm Ltd. from 2016 to 2019. Tonino transformed Dunelm’s technology from traditional to agile cloud-focused tech, building a DevOps team from scratch, automating serverless path to live in AWS for the Dunelm website rebuild, and implementing an software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution across the entire Dunelm estate. Tonino previously served as Infrastructure Manager at Sage Pay Ltd., overseeing the company’s migration from data centers into AWS, implementing DevOps teams, and standardizing tools across the company. Between 2013 and 2015, Tonino served as the Global IT Manager at StatPro Ltd., managing global IT infrastructure and service delivery. Tonino significantly reduced costs and introduced new tools and technologies for better management and client engagement. Tonino’s experience also includes roles at FTSE International as the Head of IT Infrastructure and Technology Services. Tonino holds a doctorate degree in chemistry from Cape Peninsula University, South Africa, and various certifications including ISO 27001:2013, VMWare vSphere 4 VCP, Red Hat Certified Engineer, various AWS certifications, and ITIL Foundation V3.
