Simon Goldsmith

Simon leads information security at OVO. Across his career, he has led the strategic development and operational execution of information security programs for governmental organizations, financial institutions, global retail, and energy companies. He has advised boards, executive committees and engineering teams on cyber security risk and regulatory compliance management. Simon has also implemented technology risk reduction operations and technologies for national security, security and privacy, financial crime, cloud and DevOps in both large and small enterprises. Simon is a passionate advocate for security as a team sport, the need to be allies to the diverse talent already in the information security profession, and the urgent need to build more diversity in security teams.
As a leader in the community, Simon has co-authored the ISO Standard for ISO/IEC/IEEE 32675-2021 International Standard for DevOps and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. He’s lived and worked in Asia, mainland Europe, the Middle East and currently resides in the UK.
