Oliver Wyler

Oliver Wyler has been serving as CISO at Vontobel, a globally operating financial expert with Swiss roots, since 2015. He is an ambitious and high-energy executive with broad IT and information security experience and a results-oriented and decisive leader with well-disciplined management skills. In this “second line of defense” role, he is managing the information, IT, and cybersecurity for the entire Vontobel group. He has a proven track record in IT governance, risk, and compliance with more than 25 years of experience in finance and other industries.
Oliver’s accomplishments have earned him multiple award nominations, including recognition for outstanding achievements in raising awareness and being nominated for “Swiss CISO of the Year.”
As a thought leader, Oliver frequently speaks at global conferences. He is also a co-author of an IT security bestseller and the founder and coordinator of various experience-exchanging groups, some of which have an international presence. Oliver has played a significant role in designing and developing information, IT, and cybersecurity training courses for executives, security managers, and engineers. He has also served as an instructor in these training programs.
Oliver has a degree in computer science and two Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) degrees, one in information security and another in integrated risk management.
