Modern CISO Network: Board Book

Max Imbiel is working in IT and Security for nearly 20 years now. Starting his career as a software developer and IT admin, he later studied economics and computer science to diversify his understanding of technology and business processes and organisational setups. He then became an Information Security consultant and led multiple high performance Security teams in consultancy and health care throughout the world.

In this Lead Information Security consultant role, Max prepared global companies in their GDPR-readiness, conducted Security reviews based on international standards and regulatory requirements and built and implemented Security strategies for world-wide acting corporations. He later went back into the industry, first as the Head of Security Architecture at Sky in Germany, then as the Deputy CISO for UniCredit Bank AG and now N26 AG. He connected the Security needs with the business

requirements to ensure safety and security of the information and implemented collaborative models to ensure friction less execution and protection.

Max specialises in empowering businesses and driving innovation by supplementing all Security topics into the heart of the organisations processes, people and technologies. As Security is a matter of the heart for Max, he is also - via his own company ahead Security - educating businesses and NPOs on all matters of Security baseline requirements, how to setup a Security programs, building Security culture and more.
