Kevin Fielder

CISO

Natwest Boxed (and Mettle)

Kevin Fielder is a seasoned security professional who specializes in aligning security to business goals to ensure it’s not just an enabling function, but a core part of the business. He is passionate about building teams and strategies that organizations are proud of. He builds trust and educates clients as part of the sales process, giving them confidence that their systems, data, money, and customers are protected. He has over 20 years of experience in technology and security roles in companies ranging from 25 people to global businesses across several industries. Over the past decade, he has held leadership positions in security within the payments, online marketplaces, wealth management, and banking industries. These positions were in large organizations based in the UK and internationally, delivering both B2B and B2C services. He has led teams in private/investor-owned and publicly listed companies. His skills in those roles include on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-native technology stacks. Throughout his career, he has clearly demonstrated his ability to use his expertise to build and develop security teams and strategies in a wide range of organizations, tech stacks, and regulatory environments. He’s experienced in mergers and acquisitions (M&As) from both sides of the process as a purchaser and being part of a company being acquired. He also has experience working with clients during due diligence procedures.

In his recent roles, he has gained much experience reporting to boards and audit committees. He has a strong understanding of the information that board members need, and knows the right questions to ask organizations to ensure the appropriate security and risk management measures are being delivered. As part of the ClubCISO advisory board, a semi-regular speaker, and advisor to various startups, he maintains a strong network within the security industry.
