James Chatwani has developed and implemented security programs, strategies, IT controls, policies and procedures, and data protection technology solutions for organizations worldwide. His clients include Twilio, Visa, Bank of America, Citibank, American Express, HSBC, Fidelity Investments, RBS Citizens (Royal Bank of Scotland), Discover Financial Services, Salesforce.com, Twilio, TransUnion, Exelon, BP, Blue Cross, Aon, General Dynamics, National Institute of Health (NIH), University of Notre Dame, and University of Chicago Hospitals.

He advises venture capital and private equity firms on cyber investments and risk management across portfolio companies from Series A to Series C and those preparing for IPOs. He is currently the Head of Information Security at Point, a leading home equity platform.

Before joining Point, he built Twilio’s third-party risk program and merger and acquisition (M&A) security program. He oversaw more than 1,200 vendors at all levels of risk and potential exposure and managed seven acquisitions simultaneously valued between $30 million and $3.2 billion. He led a team of highly motivated and technical pros and enabled them to build their skills every day. James was previously a Director in Visa’s cybersecurity organization, where he managed their third-party technology risk program. He advised them on advanced security threats and vulnerabilities impacting Visa and their critical third-parties to continue to drive their mission of zero breaches. He maintained key relationships with regulators such as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Reserve, and Bank of England. Before joining Visa, he worked at companies including Bank of America and Ernst & Young.
