Grant is a global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with 15 years’ experience designing, implementing and leading information security programmes across Europe, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He provides strategic advice to executive teams to help them transform and modernise their security functions.

Grant quickly adds value through tackling business challenges with a pragmatic, risk-based mindset and excels in distilling complex problems and solutions into audience-oriented material — driving understanding, consensus and influencing at all levels in the organisation.

In 2022, Grant relocated from London to New Zealand and was appointed as the CISO for Orion Health — a global Health-Tech company — where he leads a team of talented security and privacy experts, and reports to the CEO.

Prior to Orion Health, Grant spent over four years with Verisure — Europe's leading provider of professionally monitored physical security and IoT solutions. Verisure has over 4 million customers in 16 countries across Europe and Latin America and 28,000 employees. During his time at Verisure, Grant worked across multiple security and IT domains, helping to build the security practice from the ground up.

Grant has a wealth of Financial Services experience, working for Hitachi’s UK-based finance organisation for several years, building and executing the security strategy in another heavily regulated sector.

Grant also has a strong understanding of the security consultancy space, having spent 7 years as a consultant at EY and Deloitte in both New Zealand and the UK.
