Benjamin Chang

Benjamin Chang currently heads security and IT operations at Glooko, Inc. In less than two years, he built the team and established operations worldwide, establishing protection, defense, response and recovery security activities and implementing attested controls and policies to achieve HITRUST, SOC 2 Types 1 and 2, and ISO 27001 certifications. With over 30 years of experience in Silicon Valley, he has held executive positions at Oracle, PayPal, LinkedIn, and several venture-backed startups that were acquired. Known for building cybersecurity and software teams across the world from the ground up, his specialty is creating and launching enterprise security and software solutions and products that turn around startup-like situations. Notably, he started and staffed PayPal’s Development Center in Shanghai and also transformed a four-person Tools and Tech team into three global teams of more than 50 developers who developed Fraud Detection SaaS components, mitigating fraud losses and increasing Total Payment Volume (TPV) by $10 million.
At Oracle, Benjamin hired more than 40 security personnel and tripled Database Security revenue to over $40 million through three major products, including a security information and event management (SIEM) solution. Benjamin holds multiple engineering degrees and certifications from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, and the University of California Berkeley.
