Modern CISO Network: Board Book

As a seasoned cybersecurity professional with an impressive track record, Benjamin has built major cybersecurity consulting practices at several esteemed organizations including Logica/CGI, Capgemini, Bröskamp Consulting, and EXXETA. Benjamin helps companies develop their own security culture by analyzing and determining their level of security, upgrading their systems, and empowering them to implement strong security programs. He is passionate about educating his teams and customers about security and helping businesses improve their security posture. As the group CISO for Ströer, he is responsible for developing and executing their cybersecurity program while successfully establishing the Group Information Security Office. Working alongside a team of eight employees, Benjamin’s security strategy combines people, technology, and processes to ensure that Ströer is protected against various cyber threats. Throughout his career, Benjamin has been heavily involved in various awareness programs aimed at educating individuals on cybersecurity best practices. He also led several projects to build security future modes of operation (FMOs), which streamlined the respective organization’s security posture significantly. One of his core strengths is finding and retaining top talent, reinforcing his strong belief that people are the backbone of any successful cybersecurity program.

As a member of various advisory boards, including Bosch CyberCompare and CyCognito, Benjamin contributes to strategic decision-making and provides expert cybersecurity guidance. As a trusted advisor at bachmann.works, he helps mid-sized companies establish strong security practices. He is also a member of the SANS CISO Network.
