As a CISO with over 10 years of security industry experience, Barak specializes in bringing a fresh perspective to security and compliance, understanding the challenges that organizations face, and helping them take the right approach to security. He is currently the CISO at CHEQ, the global leader in go-to-market security trusted by more than 15,000 organizations worldwide.
His experience across a broad spectrum of sectors and business sizes has given him a panoramic view of security and compliance in business that focuses on practical approaches to support business goals. He has a passion for challenging the norm of information and cybersecurity so that security becomes a business facilitator and not a business blocker. Prior to joining CHEQ, Barak was the CISO at organizations including Syte and CyTech Consulting Ltd. He was also previously the Chief Security Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. He works continuously to ensure he manages stakeholder expectations properly to give a clear view of security and compliance within the business and effectively communicate the ever-changing landscape that accompanies security and compliance.
